We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Librarian to join our Maritime Training Institute in Khopoli, Raigad.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing library operations, developing physical and digital learning resources, and ensuring compliance with applicable Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) guidelines and Indian Maritime University (IMU) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage library operations, including cataloguing, classification, circulation, and inventory.
- Maintain prescribed maritime publications, statutory reference materials, academic journals, and digital resources.
- Ensure library documentation and records are maintained for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Manage library automation systems, digital databases, and institutional repositories.
- Support cadets and faculty members with academic resources and research requirements.
- Coordinate with publishers, vendors, and database providers for procurement and subscription renewals.

Eligibility Criteria

- Master's degree in Library Science (M.Lib.Sc.)



or Information Science (M.I.Sc.) from a UGC-recognized university.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a recognized academic or technical institution.
- Knowledge of library automation systems and digital resource management.
- Experience in a DGS-approved Maritime Training Institute or an IMU-affiliated institute will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with maritime publications and statutory reference materials will be preferred.
