Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Solution Manager to lead solution delivery across General Accounting, Intercompany, AAPS and Timewriting.

This is a hands-on functional leadership role combining approximately 70% solution delivery and 30% team leadership. The successful candidate will provide functional direction, oversee solution design, coordinate finance-system changes and lead a multidisciplinary squad responsible for delivering stable, scalable and integrated finance capabilities.

The role requires a combination of strong SAP Finance knowledge, solution-design expertise, stakeholder management and experience mentoring functional analysts.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Delivery — Approximately 70%

- Provide functional and solution leadership across General Accounting, Intercompany, AAPS and Timewriting.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP and finance-system solutions.
- Own or oversee functional designs, configuration decisions, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate the impact of proposed changes across business processes, systems, data, controls and integrations.
- Ensure alignment between General Ledger, Intercompany, project or activity accounting, time recording and downstream reporting.
- Support company-code deployments and finance organisational changes affecting the solution squad.
- Oversee functional, integration, regression and User Acceptance Testing.
- Review solution designs and ensure alignment with architecture, control and supportability standards.
- Support deployment planning, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.
- Coordinate resolution of complex production issues and recurring defects.
- Identify opportunities to simplify,



standardise and automate finance processes.
- Maintain solution documentation, decision logs and functional roadmaps.

Team and Squad Leadership — Approximately 30%

- Provide day-to-day functional leadership and direction to the solution squad.
- Support backlog prioritisation with business owners, product teams and Agile delivery leads.
- Allocate solution activities according to team capability, workload and delivery priorities.
- Mentor Solution Analysts and support their professional and technical development.
- Facilitate collaboration between Finance, Technology, Architecture, Testing and Operations teams.
- Monitor delivery risks, dependencies and resource constraints.
- Ensure solution decisions are documented, communicated and implemented.
- Represent the squad in programme governance and cross-functional design forums.
- Promote knowledge sharing, consistent working practices and continuous improvement.
- Support escalation and resolution of issues requiring senior functional or stakeholder intervention.

Required Skills and Experience

- Typically 8+ years of relevant experience, including experience leading solution teams or finance workstreams.
- Solid experience as an SAP Finance Solution Manager, Lead Solution Analyst or SAP Finance Functional Lead.
- Broad functional knowledge of SAP Finance, particularly:
- General Ledger
- Intercompany Accounting
- Finance integration and reporting
- Finance controls and organisational structures
- Experience overseeing multiple finance-process or application areas.




- Strong understanding of finance integration, data, controls and financial reporting.
- Experience managing solution design across complex application landscapes.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and coordinate functional analysts.
- Experience working in Agile or product-aligned delivery environments.
- Strong stakeholder-management, communication and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to balance hands-on solution delivery with team leadership.
- Experience managing competing priorities, risks and cross-team dependencies.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with SAP ECC 6.0, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Central Finance or SAP Group Reporting.
- Knowledge of timewriting, project accounting or activity-allocation processes.
- Experience supporting finance transformation, organisational restructuring or company-code deployments.
- Understanding of Agile squad models and backlog-management practices.
- Relevant SAP Finance, Agile or leadership certification.
- Experience in large multinational or highly integrated finance environments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Professional accounting, SAP or Agile certifications are advantageous.
