Job Summary

SAP Pune DC is looking for an experienced SAP Basis Senior Consultant to manage SAP Basis administration, lead L1/L2 support teams, and ensure operational excellence across complex SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have robust technical expertise in SAP Basis, SAP HANA, system administration, performance optimization, and incident and change management.

The role involves leading shift operations, managing a team of consultants, ensuring system availability, handling escalations, and driving continuous improvements in a 24x7 support environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage shift operations for SAP Basis support teams comprising 10–15 L1/L2 consultants.
- Provide end-to-end SAP Basis support across S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite, EWM, BW, and BW/4HANA landscapes.
- Perform SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
- Manage transport administration using ChaRM/CTMS and SAP Solution Manager.
- Handle SAP system installations, refreshes, upgrades, kernel upgrades, patching, and database maintenance.
- Manage SAP HANA performance optimization, database troubleshooting, data growth analysis, and housekeeping activities.
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Prepare shift rosters, allocate tasks, monitor team productivity, and manage escalations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on system sizing, capacity planning, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR).
- Maintain technical documentation, support audits, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring incidents.
- Mentor junior consultants and promote knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Technical Skills:

- Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration across ABAP and Java stacks.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite, SAP EWM, BW, and BW/4HANA.
- Knowledge of SAP HANA administration,



performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SAP Focused Run (FRUN), SAP Cloud ALM, and SAP Solution Manager.
- Operating system administration across Unix, Linux, and Windows.
- Database knowledge of SAP HANA, ASE, Oracle, DB2, and MaxDB.
- Experience with SAP installations, system copies, refreshes, upgrades, and patch management.
- Understanding of system performance metrics, including CPU, memory, disk I/O, and database utilization.
- Knowledge of Unicode conversions, user administration, security updates, data archiving, and partitioning.
- Experience with SAP transport management, ChaRM, and CTMS.

Must-Have Skills:

- Proven experience leading SAP Basis support teams of approximately 10–20 consultants across shifts.
- Experience working on multiple SAP support projects and complex enterprise SAP landscapes.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Ability to handle technical escalations, perform RCA, and drive service improvements.
- Experience in infrastructure planning, capacity sizing, and SAP landscape management.
- Excellent team leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 5–8.5 years of relevant SAP Basis experience.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in a 24x7 production support environment.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management fundamentals.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
