Job Summary

JABRO ENGINEERS is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Costing Engineer to handle product costing, cost estimation, quotation preparation, and cost analysis for precision machining and fabrication components.

The candidate should have experience in manufacturing costing, material costing, machining cost estimation, and preparing quotations based on technical drawings and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare cost estimates for CNC machining, VMC machining, fabrication, and precision engineering components.
- Analyze engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications to estimate manufacturing costs.
- Calculate raw material, machining, fabrication, labour, tooling, and overhead costs.
- Prepare quotations and cost sheets for new and repeat customer enquiries.
- Coordinate with the Production, Purchase, Stores, and Sales departments for accurate costing.
- Estimate machining time, material consumption, and manufacturing cycle time.




- Analyze actual costs against estimated costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain costing records, quotation databases, and cost analysis reports.
- Support the sales team in pricing decisions and customer quotations.
- Ensure timely submission of quotations as per customer requirements.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of manufacturing costing and cost estimation.
- Understanding of CNC, VMC machining and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of raw material grades, material rates, and machining operations.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of BOM, quotation preparation, and cost sheets.
- Robust analytical, numerical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing costing or estimation preferred.
