Jewellery CAD Designer – Export Jewellery Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Jewellery CAD Designer with 3–7 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing and exports. The candidate should be proficient in creating accurate, production-ready 3D CAD models for diamond and gemstone jewellery for international markets, including the USA, Europe, and the Middle East.

The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of jewellery design, stone setting, metal weight optimization, casting, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed 3D CAD models for rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, and bangles.
- Convert design sketches, images, and client requirements into accurate, production-ready CAD files.
- Ensure proper stone placement, setting accuracy, metal weight, wall thickness, and structural strength.
- Develop designs according to client specifications and international export quality standards.
- Modify CAD designs based on client feedback, design changes, and production requirements.
- Prepare CAD files for 3D printing, casting, and final jewellery manufacturing.
- Coordinate with the Design, CAM, Production, Quality Control, and Merchandising teams.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and suitable for mass production.
- Maintain CAD files, design libraries, and technical records.
- Complete assigned projects within deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications





- 3–7 years of relevant experience in jewellery CAD designing, preferably in an export manufacturing company.
- Hands-on experience with Rhino, MatrixGold, Matrix, JewelCAD, or 3Design.
- Strong knowledge of diamond and gemstone setting techniques, including Prong, Pavé, Bezel, Channel, and Micro Setting.
- Good understanding of jewellery manufacturing, casting, polishing, finishing, and stone-setting processes.
- Ability to create lightweight, durable, and production-friendly jewellery models.
- Knowledge of metal weight optimization and manufacturing feasibility.
- Understanding of international jewellery designs and export market requirements.
- Valuable problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to work with multiple designs and meet production deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in jewellery export companies, particularly in SEEPZ or similar manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to USA, European, and Middle Eastern jewellery markets.
- Knowledge of rendering software such as KeyShot or V-Ray will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with diamond jewellery, fine jewellery, and customized client designs.
