Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Manager – Pricing with strong leadership skills, an established network within shipping lines, and proven expertise in freight procurement and long-term rate negotiations. The candidate should have experience leading a pricing team, negotiating annual contracts with shipping lines, and building strong relationships with senior-level carrier management.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the pricing team, ensuring effective freight procurement and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate and secure long-term and annual freight contracts with shipping lines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, including Trade Managers, senior management, and higher-level decision-makers.
- Handle RFQs, rate negotiations, freight procurement, and rate analysis across key trade lanes.
- Provide competitive freight rates to internal stakeholders and support business development requirements.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure space availability and resolve capacity-related challenges.
- Support detention and demurrage waivers, credit extensions, and other carrier-related service requirements.
- Drive carrier relationship management and PR activities.
- Monitor market trends,



carrier rate movements, and trade lane developments to optimize procurement costs.
- Prepare pricing reports, MIS, and performance analysis to support business decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 10–12 years of experience in pricing, freight procurement, shipping lines, or freight forwarding.
- Postgraduate qualification preferred, along with a Diploma in EXIM or Logistics.
- Proven team management and leadership experience is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and closing annual or long-term contracts with shipping lines.
- Strong market presence and established contacts with shipping line senior management and decision-makers.
- Strong knowledge of shipping lines, trade lanes, freight rates, and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, networking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS, data analysis, and pricing reports.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a team leader and strategic freight procurement skilled, not someone working only in an individual contributor or desk-based pricing role. Strong shipping line relationships, the ability to secure long-term commercial agreements, and a proven track record of leading a pricing team are essential.

Pay: ₹694,000.00 - ₹2,240,000.00 per year
