We are looking for a commercially minded FP&A; Manager who can turn financial data into actionable business insights, improve profitability, strengthen financial planning, and support strategic decisions.

Role Overview

The FP&A; Manager will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting at Earth Store. The role will work closely with the Founder/CEO and department heads to monitor business performance, identify financial risks and opportunities, and drive profitable growth.

We are looking for someone who goes beyond preparing reports—someone who understands the business behind the numbers and proactively recommends what needs to change.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Budgeting

- Develop annual budgets, operating plans, and financial forecasts.
- Work with department heads to prepare and consolidate departmental budgets.
- Translate business goals into financial targets and measurable performance indicators.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and identify variances.
- Update forecasts based on changing business conditions and performance trends.

2. Financial Analysis & Profitability

- Analyse revenue, gross margins, contribution margins, operating expenses, and EBITDA.
- Identify the key drivers of profitability and cost inefficiencies.
- Evaluate product, channel, and business-segment profitability.
- Analyse pricing, discounting, product costs, logistics expenses, and marketing expenditure.
- Recommend initiatives to improve margins, reduce costs, and increase operating efficiency.

3. Management Reporting & MIS

- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports and financial dashboards.
- Present financial performance, budget variances, risks,



and opportunities to the leadership team.
- Develop relevant KPIs to track business and departmental performance.
- Convert financial data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Establish consistent reporting formats and performance review mechanisms.

4. Financial Forecasting & Modelling

- Build financial models for revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
- Develop best-case, base-case, and worst-case scenarios.
- Forecast financial performance and identify potential gaps against business targets.
- Evaluate new product launches, business expansion, and other growth initiatives.
- Conduct break-even, sensitivity, and return-on-investment analyses.

5. Business Partnering

- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Operations, Warehouse, and HR teams.
- Evaluate departmental spending and financial performance.
- Analyse marketing ROI, sales performance, inventory costs, and operational expenses.
- Challenge assumptions and support department heads in making financially sound decisions.
- Drive accountability for budgets and business performance across functions.

6. Working Capital & Cash Flow Analysis

- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor projected cash requirements.
- Analyse inventory turnover, stock ageing, receivables, and payables.
- Identify opportunities to improve working capital efficiency.
- Assess the financial impact of inventory purchases, growth plans, and operating decisions.
- Highlight potential liquidity risks and recommend appropriate actions.

7. Strategic Decision Support

- Support the Founder/CEO in financial and commercial decision-making.
- Evaluate new business opportunities and investment proposals.
- Identify financial risks, growth opportunities, and potential profitability improvements.




- Present recommendations backed by financial data and business analysis.
- Support the development of long-term financial plans and growth strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- CA, CMA, MBA Finance, or an equivalent finance qualification preferred.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in FP&A;, financial planning, business finance, or commercial finance.
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, D2C, FMCG, or consumer businesses is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and financial modelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience with financial dashboards and reporting tools; Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into business recommendations.
- Solid communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
