Job Description – Furniture Designer

Position: Furniture Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer who can design functional, stylish, and practical furniture according to client requirements. The candidate should have knowledge of furniture materials, measurements, design software, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design furniture such as beds, sofas, wardrobes, tables, chairs, cabinets, and modular furniture.
- Understand client requirements and develop furniture designs accordingly.
- Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, and detailed furniture layouts.
- Create technical drawings with accurate dimensions and specifications.
- Work with materials such as wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, metal, and upholstery.
- Coordinate with production teams, carpenters, vendors, and installation teams.
- Ensure designs are practical, durable, visually appealing, and cost-effective.
- Suggest suitable materials, finishes, colours, and hardware.




- Modify designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards, budgets, and project timelines.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in furniture design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of furniture construction, materials, fittings, and finishes.
- Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
- Good understanding of dimensions, ergonomics, and space utilisation.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.

Eligibility

- Diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field is preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in furniture design.
- A portfolio of previous furniture design projects is preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
