Position: Telecaller – Admissions & Student Outreach

1. Job Purpose

To connect with prospective students and parents, provide accurate information about university programmes, generate admission enquiries, follow up with leads, and support the university's student recruitment and admission targets.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Outbound Calling & Lead Generation

- Make outbound calls to prospective students and parents using the leads provided by the university.
- Explain the university's programmes, eligibility criteria, admission process, fee structure, scholarships, and campus facilities.
- Generate qualified admission enquiries and convert prospective students into applicants.
- Follow up with interested candidates to encourage applications and admissions.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to admission-related queries professionally.

B. Student Counselling & Follow-ups

- Understand students' academic backgrounds, career interests, and programme preferences.
- Guide prospective students towards suitable courses based on their interests and eligibility.
- Maintain regular follow-ups through calls and other approved communication channels.
- Address basic queries and coordinate with the admissions team for complex cases.
- Encourage campus visits, counselling sessions, and completion of admission formalities.

C. CRM & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of calls, enquiries, follow-ups, and lead status in the university's CRM or designated system.




- Update every interaction and ensure no prospective student enquiry remains unattended.
- Submit daily reports covering calls made, calls connected, interested leads, follow-ups, applications, and admissions.
- Maintain a structured follow-up schedule for pending and prospective admissions.
- Ensure confidentiality of student information and compliance with university policies.

D. Target Achievement

- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly calling and admission-enquiry targets.
- Improve lead engagement and conversion through consistent follow-ups.
- Prioritise high-intent prospects and ensure timely communication.
- Support admission campaigns, promotional activities, and special enrolment drives.

3. Educational Qualifications

- Minimum qualification: 10+2; graduation preferred.
- Candidates with qualifications in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communication will be preferred.

4. Experience

- 0–3 years of experience in telecalling, customer service, sales, admissions, or lead generation.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn may also apply.
- Experience in educational institutions or university admissions will be an added advantage.

5. Required Skills & Competencies

- Excellent verbal communication skills in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and parents.
- Persuasion, negotiation, and lead-conversion skills.
- Confidence in handling objections and responding to queries.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Excel and CRM systems.
- Solid follow-up, time-management, and organisational skills.
- Target-oriented approach with a positive attitude.
- Professional telephone etiquette and a customer-focused mindset.
