Job Purpose

We are seeking a visionary Principal / Lead Python Software Architect with 12 to 18 years of hands-on technical and leadership experience to lead the architectural evolution, performance optimization, and technical strategy of our enterprise platform.

In this role, you will design resilient, scalable distributed systems, modernize legacy backend pipelines, establish enterprise-wide Python engineering standards, and integrate cutting-edge asynchronous processing, data processing, or AI/ML workloads into our core infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities1. Enterprise Architecture & System Design

- Distributed Systems Design: Architect, scale, and maintain fault-tolerant, low-latency, and high-concurrency microservices architectures using modern Python (3.11/3.12+).
- Framework & Ecosystem Mastery: Architect complex web services, REST/gRPC APIs, and asynchronous message-driven systems using FastAPI, Django, Flask, Asyncio, Celery, and RabbitMQ/Kafka.
- Modernization & Refactoring: Drive migration and refactoring strategies from legacy backend monoliths into scalable, cloud-native microservices or event-driven frameworks.
- AI/Data Pipeline Integration: Oversee the architectural integration of machine learning models, vector databases, semantically indexed search engines, or LLM workflows into production systems.

2. Engineering Governance, Security & Performance

- Performance Engineering: Troubleshoot deep memory leaks,



event loop bottlenecks, and execute CPU/IO profiling to achieve ultra-low latency and effective memory management.
- Database Architecture: Design, optimize, and manage high-volume relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) databases, including complex query optimization and sharding/partitioning strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce enterprise-grade security standards (OWASP, OAuth2/OIDC, data encryption at rest/in transit, zero-trust backend architecture).
- Code Excellence & CI/CD: Establish automated testing standards (PyTest), static analysis tools (Mypy, Ruff, Black), and containerized CI/CD deployment automation (Docker, Kubernetes).

3. Leadership, Mentorship & Technical Strategy

- Technical Roadmap: Collaborate closely with the CTO, Product Managers, and Executive Leadership to translate long-term business strategy into robust tech roadmaps.
- Engineering Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and elevate Technical Leads, Senior Engineers, and cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a strong culture of innovation and engineering rigor.
- Vendor & Tooling Evaluation: Evaluate and select third-party cloud tools, frameworks, and infrastructure services to maximize operational efficiency and cost ROI.





Technical Qualifications & Requirements

- Total Experience: 12 to 18 years of progressive software engineering experience, with 8+ years dedicated to Python backend development at massive scale.
- Core Python Expertise: Deep internal mastery of Python (Memory Management, GIL internals, Asyncio, Multiprocessing, Metaclasses, Generators, and Type Hinting).
- Backend Stack: Proven expertise in FastAPI / Django / Flask, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, gRPC, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
- Concurrency & Message Queues: Hands-on experience with asynchronous task processing via Kafka, RabbitMQ, Celery, or Redis Pub/Sub.
- Databases & Caching: Mastery of PostgreSQL / MySQL query optimization, schema design, and caching layers (Redis, Memcached).
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless architectures, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.

- Strategic Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs with business ROI, cost, and time-to-market top of mind.
- Executive Communication: Skilled at presenting complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical engineers and non-technical C-suite executives.
- Crisis Management: Decisive leadership during major production outages, complex security incidents, or critical release cycles.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year
