This is a remote position requiring excellent communication, organization, time management, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate the jewelry design team, including CAD designers and other design personnel.

- Coordinate the workflow from initial jewelry concept/reference through CAD development and manufacturing.

- Review designs for practicality, quality, proportions, manufacturability, stone setting, metal requirements, and production feasibility.

- Coordinate with CAD designers to ensure designs are completed accurately and on schedule.

- Communicate design requirements, revisions, priorities, and deadlines to the team.

- Coordinate with manufacturing, casting, stone-setting, finishing,

and other production related teams or vendors.

- Monitor the status of projects and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

- Identify production or design issues and work with the appropriate team members to resolve them.

- Review CAD designs and provide feedback before designs move into production.

- Help establish and maintain efficient design and production workflows.

- Track multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks according to business needs.

- Maintain clear communication with management regarding project progress, delays, issues, and team performance.

- Help train, guide, and improve the performance of jewelry designers and CAD team members.

- Assist with scheduling and workload distribution across the design team.

- Maintain organized records of designs, revisions, production requirements, and project status.

- Take on additional responsibilities related to jewelry design, manufacturing, and operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional experience in the jewelry industry, preferably with a jewelry manufacturer, production house, or established jewelry brand.

- Strong understanding of jewelry design and manufacturing processes.

- Previous team management, team-lead, supervisory, or project coordination experience.

- Strong understanding of jewelry CAD workflows and production requirements.

- Ability to understand and evaluate custom jewelry designs.

- Knowledge of casting, polishing, stone setting, finishing, and manufacturing processes.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

- Must be comfortable working during the company's required San Dimas, California time-zone schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with U.S.-based jewelry companies or customers.

- Experience with custom fine jewelry, diamond jewelry, bridal jewelry, or luxury jewelry.

- Experience working with Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, ZBrush, or similar jewelry CAD platforms.

- Experience managing remote teams.

- Experience coordinating international manufacturing teams or vendors.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who understands both the creative and manufacturing sides of jewelry and can serve as the bridge between management, designers, CAD specialists, and production.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership rather than simply complete assigned tasks.
