Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated, confident, and student-focused Academic Counsellor to guide students in selecting suitable courses, universities, and study-abroad destinations. The candidate will handle student enquiries, provide accurate academic guidance, follow up with prospective students, and support them throughout the admission process.

Key Responsibilities

- Student Counselling
- Counsel students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities.
- Understand students’ academic backgrounds, career goals, budgets, and preferences.
- Recommend suitable countries, universities, colleges, and courses.
- Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and entry criteria.
- Lead Management & Follow-Up
- Handle enquiries from walk-in students, phone calls, social media, and online leads.
- Follow up with prospective students regularly and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and counselling progress.
- Achieve monthly counselling, registration, and admission targets.
- Admission & Application Support
- Assist students with university applications and admission documentation.
- Coordinate with universities, admission teams, and internal departments.
- Guide students regarding English language tests such as IELTS and other accepted tests.
- Track application status and update students on admission decisions.
- Visa & Pre-Departure Guidance
- Coordinate with the visa processing team for student visa applications.
- Guide students regarding document requirements and pre-departure procedures.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up throughout the student journey.
- Sales & Business Development




- Promote study-abroad programmes and education services.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and referral partners.
- Generate referrals and contribute to the branch’s admission and revenue targets.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, and promotional activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a relevant education or counselling background is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of overseas education destinations and admission procedures is an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Strong follow-up, presentation, and student relationship management skills.

Preferred Experience

- Freshers with robust communication and sales skills may apply.
- Experience in academic counselling, study-abroad consultancy, student recruitment, or education sales is preferred.
- Knowledge of countries such as the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Germany, and other international study destinations is an advantage.
