Jewel Child Development Centre is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and qualified Special Educator to join our multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will work with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special educational needs. The role focuses on enhancing children's cognitive, academic, communication, social, and adaptive skills through individualized educational interventions and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess children's learning abilities, developmental levels, academic skills, and individual educational needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on each child's strengths, challenges, and developmental goals.
- Provide individualized and small-group educational sessions using evidence-based special education techniques.
- Support the development of pre-academic and academic skills, including reading, writing, numeracy, and early literacy.
- Enhance cognitive skills such as attention, memory, problem-solving, and executive functioning.
- Implement structured teaching methods, visual supports, and multisensory learning strategies.
- Support the development of communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and adaptive behaviour.
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to encourage learning and classroom participation.
- Monitor children's progress, maintain accurate educational records, and prepare periodic progress reports.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, behaviour therapists, and parents to ensure holistic child development.
- Provide parental guidance, home-based learning strategies, and recommendations for educational support.
- Create a safe, inclusive,



engaging, and child-friendly learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Essesntial B.Ed. in Special Education from a recognized institution.
- Valid Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration is preferred and required where applicable.
- Master's degree in Special Education will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in child development are welcome to apply.
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and developmental delays will be preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, teaching, and classroom management skills.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, adaptability, and a passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of individualized education planning (IEP) and goal-oriented teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with structured teaching approaches, visual learning aids, and multisensory instruction.
- Experience in early intervention, school readiness programmes, and remedial education.
- Ability to adapt teaching materials and instructional methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Understanding of behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Strong observation, documentation, progress-monitoring, and parent-counselling skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
