JOB DESCRIPTION – STORE EXECUTIVE

Department: Stores / Inventory Industry: Wood Manufacturing / Interior / Retail Fixtures Factory Reporting To: Store In-Charge / Purchase Manager / Production Manager Location: Factory / Warehouse

1. Job Purpose

To manage the receipt, storage, inventory, and issuance of raw materials, hardware, consumables, and finished goods required for smooth production operations in the wood factory, ensuring proper stock control and accurate inventory records.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Material Receipt and Inspection

- Receive materials from suppliers as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Verify the quantity, specifications, and condition of received materials.
- Check materials such as plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, veneers, timber, edge bands, adhesives, hardware, paints, and other consumables.
- Report shortages, damages, and discrepancies to the Purchase Department.
- Ensure proper inward entry in the stock register or ERP system.

B. Inventory and Stock Management

- Maintain accurate stock records for all materials received, issued, and available.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the Purchase Department about low-stock items.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile differences.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, and excess stock.

C. Material Issuance to Production

- Issue materials to the Production Department against approved material requisitions.
- Ensure materials are issued according to production requirements and approved quantities.
- Maintain proper records of material issued to carpentry, CNC, edge-banding, assembly, finishing, and other production sections.
- Monitor material consumption and report unusual wastage or shortages.




- Ensure unused materials and reusable scraps are returned to the store with proper entries.

D. Storage and Safety

- Arrange materials systematically with proper identification and labelling.
- Ensure proper storage of plywood, laminates, timber, hardware, adhesives, and paints.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) wherever applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping in the store.
- Ensure secure stacking and handling of heavy materials and follow fire-safety procedures.

E. Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain inward and outward registers, stock registers, and material issue slips.
- Prepare daily or weekly stock reports as required.
- Maintain purchase order, delivery challan, goods receipt, and material return records.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, PPC, Accounts, and Quality Departments.
- Assist in monthly stock audits and year-end inventory verification.

4. Educational Qualification

- PUC / ITI / Diploma / Any degree.
- Candidates with experience in stores or inventory management in a wood manufacturing, furniture, or interior fit-out company will be preferred.

5. Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in stores, inventory, or warehouse management.
- Experience handling wood-industry materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates, hardware, timber, and adhesives is preferred.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
