THE CHANCE

We're looking for a Senior Learning Spaces Designer to lead the design and delivery of Values Labs and other learning

environments for schools across India — from the first concept sketch to the final walkthrough. You'll work closely with school

leadership, architects, vendors and our internal learning design team to turn ideas into physical spaces that shape how

thousands of children experience empathy, self-reflection and character every day. As a senior member of the team, you'll also

lead projects end-to-end, mentor junior designers, and own key client relationships.

AS A SENIOR DESIGNER, YOU'LL ALSO

- Lead projects end-to-end, from concept through completion
- Mentor and guide junior designers
- Own key client relationships from pitch to project close

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Design & Space Planning

▸ Research, conceptualise and design educational spaces and elements that are functional, engaging and aesthetically

compelling

▸ Develop concept sketches, mood boards and material palettes

▸ Build 3D visualisations using SketchUp, Enscape or similar software

▸ Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings and technical documentation

▸ Recommend materials, furniture, lighting and finishes that balance design intent with budget





▸ Track emerging design trends and sustainable materials to keep our spaces ahead of the curve

Client & Stakeholder Management

▸ Understand each school's needs through meetings and site visits

▸ Present design concepts and translate client feedback into refined designs

▸ Prepare polished, client-ready presentations

▸ Lead client and vendor meetings

▸ Maintain minutes of meetings, progress reports and project documentation

Project Execution

▸ Coordinate closely with vendors, contractors and internal teams

▸ Monitor execution to keep projects on quality, budget and timeline

▸ Travel for local and outstation site visits

▸ Troubleshoot on-site design and execution issues in real time

Cross-Functional Collaboration

▸ Partner with educators, curriculum, and sales/finance teams to ensure every space serves its educational purpose

▸ Coordinate with content, operations, procurement and implementation teams across the project lifecycle

Process & Team

▸ Continuously improve project execution processes and standardise design templates

▸ Maintain clean, current project documentation

▸ Manage multiple projects in parallel

Represent Val-Ed

▸ Represent Val-Ed at education and design conferences across India — on stage, at the stall, and in post-conference

networking

▸ Build presentation decks used for sales and marketing“

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

▸ 5+ years designing and delivering end-to-end interior or infrastructure projects

▸ Proven track record leading projects and managing client relationships independently

▸ Comfort managing multiple projects and stakeholders at once

Core Skills & Tools

Proficiency in one or more of the following is expected:

AutoCAD SketchUp Enscape

Fusion 360 Photoshop Illustrator

Lumion (preferred) MS Office Google Workspace

Alongside strong craft in:

Space Planning Interior Design 3D Visualisation

Material Selection Project Management Vendor Coordination
