Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tendering, Costing & Estimation Engineer with experience in turnkey interior fit-out and civil projects. The candidate will be responsible for tender preparation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, vendor coordination, rate analysis, and commercial documentation to ensure accurate and competitive project pricing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tendering & Bid Management

- Review tender documents, drawings, technical specifications, and scope of work.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial tenders within deadlines.
- Review tender requirements, eligibility criteria, BOQ, and contractual terms.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams for tender-related clarifications.
- Maintain tender records, submission schedules, and bid documentation.

2. Costing & Estimation

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for turnkey interior fit-out and civil projects.
- Calculate quantities from architectural, civil, and interior drawings.
- Prepare and review BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost sheets.
- Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor activities.
- Estimate costs for flooring, ceiling, partitions, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, furniture, and other interior fit-out works.
- Prepare project budgets, comparative statements, and cost breakdowns.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

3. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

- Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare quotation comparison statements and negotiate rates.




- Verify material specifications, quantities, rates, and scope inclusions/exclusions.
- Coordinate with the purchase, execution, and project management teams for accurate costing.

4. Documentation & Commercial Support

- Prepare rate analysis sheets, tender summaries, and commercial proposals.
- Assist in variation costing, extra-item estimates, and revised BOQs.
- Maintain a database of material rates, labour rates, and subcontractor rates.
- Support project teams with budget tracking and cost control.
- Ensure tender submissions and estimation documents are accurate and complete.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in tendering, costing, and estimation for turnkey interior fit-out or civil construction projects.
- Robust knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and interior drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of estimation or construction software is an advantage.
- Valuable negotiation, analytical, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet submission deadlines.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in commercial office interiors, corporate fit-outs, retail, hospitality, or other turnkey interior projects.
- Knowledge of civil, architectural, MEP, and interior finishing works.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, vendors, and corporate clients.
