We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced E-Commerce Accountant to oversee our financial operations, with a primary focus on marketplace settlement reconciliation, payment recovery (disputes, missing reimbursements, and short-payments), and day-to-day bookkeeping. You will ensure that every rupee of gross sales, marketplace commission, shipping fee, return, and tax deduction matches our bank credits and accounting ledgers.

Key Responsibilities1. Payment Recovery & Marketplace Settlement Reconciliation

- Settlement Mapping: Download and reconcile payout/settlement reports from e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Shopify/Razorpay) line-by-line against actual bank deposits.
- Dispute & Short-Payment Recovery: Identify under-settlements, uncredited returns, lost/damaged inventory at fulfillment centers (e.g., FBA), and commission/shipping overcharges, then raise and track tickets with marketplace seller support until recovery is complete.
- Ageing Reports: Maintain and review aging reports for marketplace payables/receivables, flagging overdue or stuck reimbursements weekly.

2. General Accounts & Bookkeeping

- Gross vs. Net Accounting: Record gross sales, gateway/marketplace fees, discounts,



and returns as separate line items rather than booking net payouts directly.
- Returns & RTO Tracking: Reconcile customer returns, RTO (Return to Origin), and replacement inventory to ensure stock and financial books align.
- Bank & Gateway Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations across all company bank accounts, payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay), and wallet balances.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and manage outgoing payments.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
- Experience: 2 to 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, specifically managing e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, D2C Shopify brands).
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data reconciliation from large CSV/dashboard reports).
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of e-commerce business mechanics (marketplace fee structures, payment cycles, RTO accounting, GST TCS, and Section 194-O TDS).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
