Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Load Booking & Negotiation

- Source and book freight loads through load boards, direct customer relationships, and broker networks.
- Negotiate competitive rates with shippers, customers, and carriers while maintaining profitability.
- Ensure loads meet company revenue and margin targets.

2. Carrier Sourcing & Management

- Identify reliable and qualified carriers for available loads.
- Verify carrier authority, insurance, safety records, and compliance documents as per company policy.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with carriers and owner-operators.

3. Customer Relationship Management

- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and shippers.
- Generate new business opportunities through calls, emails, and follow-ups.
- Understand customer requirements, negotiate pricing, and ensure service satisfaction.

4. Load Planning & Dispatch Coordination

- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with carriers and customers.
- Confirm equipment requirements, load details, weight, commodity, and special instructions.
- Share accurate load information and rate confirmations with carriers.

5. Tracking & Shipment Monitoring

- Conduct regular check calls with drivers and carriers.
- Monitor shipment progress and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Proactively communicate delays, breakdowns, route issues, or other exceptions to customers.

6. Documentation & Compliance

- Prepare and verify rate confirmations, Bills of Lading (BOL), Proof of Delivery (POD), and other shipping documents.
- Maintain accurate load records in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Ensure adherence to company procedures and applicable transportation regulations.

Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution

- Handle late pickups, missed appointments, rejected loads, carrier cancellations, and delivery delays.
- Arrange backup carriers or recovery options when required.
- Resolve disputes professionally and escalate major service issues promptly.

8. Profitability & Revenue Management

- Monitor buy rates, sell rates, gross profit, and margins for each load.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability without compromising service quality.
- Meet assigned revenue, gross-margin, and productivity targets.

9. Hours of Service (HOS) & Safety Awareness

- Understand applicable US Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements.
- Coordinate realistic schedules with consideration for drivers’ available Hours of Service.
- Avoid making commitments that encourage unsafe driving or regulatory violations.

10. Reporting & Performance Management

- Maintain daily load and customer activity reports.
- Track KPIs such as loads booked, gross profit, on-time delivery, customer retention, and carrier performance.
- Provide regular updates to team leaders and management.

Essential Skills Required

- Robust negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of US freight brokerage and OTR operations.
- Experience with load boards and TMS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Customer acquisition and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of US trucking equipment, lanes, rates, and documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
