Job Description

Job Purpose

Daily Operations:

- Assist in the planning and execution of mining operations.
- Oversee the drilling and blasting operations, ensuring adherence to safe practices.
- Monitor the operation of equipment and ensure secure working conditions.

Safety and Compliance:

- Conduct routine safety inspections to ensure that the mining site meets legal standards.
- Enforce safety protocols among the team, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or breaches to the supervisor immediately.

Equipment Handling:

- Operate and manage mining machinery such as drills, loaders, and excavators.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment to prevent breakdowns.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Record daily operational activities, including work completed and issues encountered.
- Prepare reports on production and submit them to the supervisor for evaluation.




- Assist in inventory management by tracking materials and tools used.

Team Collaboration:

- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and workers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Train new workers and brief them on safety and operational procedures.

Blasting Operations:

- Assist the blaster in charge with loading, charging, and firing explosives following safety protocols.
- Monitor and control access to the blasting area during operations.

Emergency Response:

- Being prepared to respond to emergencies such as fires, accidents, or natural disasters. The Mines Foreman must ensure that emergency response plans are in

- place, personnel are trained in emergency procedures, and appropriate equipment and resources are readily available during the shift.
