Position Purpose

As a Data Operations Engineer you will design, develop and implement data models and solutions to support the

business, consumer and analytical needs across the organization. The goal is to uncover data-driven insights

aimed at improving our ability and understanding of the customer experience and business drivers. This role will

play a critical role in empowering business decisions that deliver world-class, personalized experiences for our

customers

Primary Responsibilities

- Manage multiple data load pipelines to ensure they are operational
- Run frequent audits and operationalize data quality monitoring and resolve issues
- Monitor
server resources needed and respond to errors and failures in data processing
- Restore lost, corrupted data if any
- Research new data sources and perform basic data source analysis
- Help operationalize and automate future data loads, reporting and analytics jobs
- Plan resources necessary for data operations along with Data Architect and Dev Ops

Key Performance Indicators

The metrics for success for this role includes on time, high quality, within budget product line deliveries.

- Successfully design, implement and manage multiple data load pipelines across the organization
- Define standards for modeling, naming and governing data across data sources
- Design and develop recent automation tools that enable teams to ingest and analyze data effectively and
- efficiently
- Manage current and future data loads, reporting and analytics jobs

Position Requirements

- BS in Computer Science or Engineering
- Background in computer science, mathematics,



or similar quantitative field with a minimum of 3-5 years
- professional experience
- Programming experience (Java, JQuery, SQL, Scala preferred) with experience in data modeling
- Advanced skills using one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python, bash, etc.)
- Extract Transform Load (ETL) experience using Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or similar technologies
- Data visualization experience using R, Python, Tableau or PowerBI a plus
- Solid understanding and experience implementing cloud data platform technologies (Microsoft Azure,
- Amazon Web Services)

- Passionate about the business and product problems to be solved and using high-precision data analytics and models that contribute useful insights and customer value
- Keen ability to work collectively with engineering and product managers to understand and translate data- driven initiatives and potential ideas into fully developed customer and partner solutions and experiences
- Exceptional problem solving, critical reasoning and creative thinking and skills. Ability to identify core and edge cases, and dependencies in any scenario
- Experience with identifying and resolving issues working with disparate sources of data and data quality
- Exceptional communication skills and an ability to connect people with different points of view and with
- varying levels of experience
- Experienced in translating ideas into specific qualified and quantified action items. Ability to develop
- detailed plans with specific goals, priorities, timelines and budgets to effectuate ideas into product
