Job Description:

At PwC - as an ETL Testing/QA Senior Associate, the candidate will execute quality assurance activities for data modernization, ETL migration, cloud data, and reporting programs. The candidate will design and run source-to-target validations, automate repetitive data comparisons, support defect resolution, and verify downstream reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on ETL testing skills and practical experience with automated comparison, diff tools, and QA of reports and dashboards. Insurance industry background is mandatory.

Position Requirements:

Must Have:

4+ years of QA or testing experience, including hands-on ETL, data migration, database, or cloud data testing.

Strong SQL skills and experience validating source-to-target mappings, transformations, reconciliation totals, and data quality.

Create and execute test cases for data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes; validate mappings, joins, aggregations, filters, deduplication, calculations, and data-type conversions.

Prepare test data, document results, log defects with transparent evidence, and support test environment and release activities.

Build SQL queries and Python-based checks to reconcile source and target data for completeness, accuracy, business-rule compliance, and timeliness.

Automate file, table, schema, and record-level comparisons using common diff tools such as Beyond Compare and Win Merge, along with reusable scripts.

Develop repeatable QA automation using widely adopted tools such as Selenium, Postman, Jenkins, Git, Jira, and Azure Dev Ops.

Create automated regression and data-quality checks using SQL, Python,



dbt tests, or Great Expectations to detect breaking changes early.

Validate datasets feeding BI reports and dashboards, including calculated fields, KPIs, drill-down logic, and dependent ETL jobs.

Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, UAT, cutover validation, and post-production data verification.

Insurance industry background is mandatory, with familiarity with insurance data, processes, or reporting needs.

Experience in QA and testing of reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Experience with QA on ETL platforms such as Informatica, dbt, Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, Databricks, or similar ETL and cloud data platforms.

Desired Knowledge / Skills:

Working knowledge of the Guidewire suite Policy Center (PC), Claim Center (CC), and Billing Center (BC), or similar insurance policy, claims, and billing administration systems.

Good to have understanding of overall insurance business and systems architecture, including how policy, claims, billing, and reinsurance systems integrate.

Business Analyst (BA)-level understanding of insurance domain processes, functional requirements, and data mapping across insurance systems.
