What awaits you/ Job Profile

- Develop and maintain CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for automotive speaker systems and their integration within vehicle interiors.
- Design and package speaker mounting concepts for instrument panel, door trims, side trims, headliner, parcel shelf, and center console applications.
- Perform package studies, feasibility assessments, and DMU validations to ensure seamless integration with surrounding interior components.
- Coordinate with acoustics, supplier, design, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams during concept and series development phases.
- Support prototype builds, design reviews, validation activities, and engineering change management.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle packaging, manufacturability, durability, and cost requirements.
- Drive issue resolution related to speaker packaging, mounting, tolerance stack-up, and assembly concerns.

What should you bring along

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive interior design and component integration.
- Strong experience in CAD development of interior trim and speaker system integration.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and global development environment.




- Robust communication and problem-solving skills.

Must have technical skill

- Expert proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 (Part Design, Assembly Design, Generative Shape Design, Drafting).
- Experience in automotive interior systems such as door trims, instrument panels, center consoles, pillars, and headliners.
- Knowledge of speaker packaging, mounting strategies, grille integration, and acoustic packaging requirements.
- Strong understanding of plastic component design, injection molding, tooling, and DFMA principles.
- Experience in tolerance stack-up analysis, section reviews, and gap & flush assessments.
- Knowledge of engineering drawing creation, GD&T;, and automotive design standards.
- Experience in DMU validation, clash analysis, and package feasibility studies.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
- Understanding of automotive development processes and release workflows.

Good to have technical skills

- Knowledge of premium audio systems and acoustic performance considerations.
- Experience with speaker supplier integration and vehicle audio architecture.
- Exposure to prototype development, validation builds, and production launch support.
- Familiarity with CAE-supported structural and vibration assessments.
- Knowledge of BMW, VW, Mercedes-Benz, or other OEM interior development standards.Familiarity with Req mgmt. tools like Polarion, or MBSE methodologies.
