Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Investment Officer is assigned to the Private Sector Financial Institutions Division (PSFI) in the Office of the Director General (OPSD) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). You will be based at our Resident Mission Office in New Delhi, India (INRM).
You will report to the Country Director of INRM and the designated PSFI International Staff.
Your Role
As an Investment Officer, you will participate in the processing of ADB's private sector financing of financial institutions projects and technical assistance in India and South Asia.



You will also be responsible for establishing new client relationships and maintaining existing ones within the context of project development and assist in managing relationships with the governments in the region.
You will:
a. Project Processing
• Lead and/or participate in the processing of projects, undertaking the needed due diligence, risk analysis and mitigation work towards the structuring of loans, equity investments, guarantees or other forms of assistance.
• Lead credit and financial due diligence by developing financial models and in general assessing the risk and credit profile of proposed financial institutions projects and reviewing project documents.
• Analyze financial statements and financial projections/models.
• Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing and make necessary recommendations.
• Participate in due diligence missions and providing technical support and recommendations to team leaders.
