**Role:** Senior SSIS Developer / Technical Consultant
## Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced **SSIS Developer with 7 9 years of hands-on
experience** in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise data
integration solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
The candidate should have strong expertise in **ETL development, SQL Server, data
integration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production support**. The
resource will be responsible for supporting existing SSIS interfaces as well as developing
and implementing enhancements based on business requirements.
## Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain **SSIS packages** for enterprise data
integration and ETL requirements.
- Develop ETL solutions to extract data from various source systems, transform the data
based on business requirements, and load it into target systems.
- Support and enhance existing **SSIS-based interfaces and integrations**.
- Analyze and troubleshoot SSIS package failures, data issues, performance issues, and
production incidents.
- Develop and optimize complex **SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and
database objects**.
- Work with different data sources such as **SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, CSV/Excel files,
SFTP locations, and other enterprise systems**.
- Implement appropriate **error handling, logging, auditing, restart/recovery, and
notification mechanisms** within SSIS packages.
- Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot SSIS jobs using **SQL Server Agent** or equivalent
enterprise scheduling tools.




- Perform performance tuning and optimization of SSIS packages and SQL queries for highvolume data processing.
- Perform impact analysis and provide technical estimates for enhancements and change
requests.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best
practices.
- Support deployments across development, test/UAT, and production environments.
- Monitor scheduled interfaces and proactively identify and resolve integration failures.
- Provide **L2/L3 production support**, perform root-cause analysis, and implement
permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Work closely with functional teams, application teams, database administrators, and
business stakeholders to resolve integration issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment documents, support
procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance when required.
## Required Technical Skills
**7 9 years of overall IT experience**, with strong hands-on experience in SSIS and
Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
- Strong expertise in **SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)**.
- Strong knowledge of **ETL concepts, data integration, data transformation, and data
migration**.
- Advanced knowledge of **T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server**.
- Experience with stored procedures, functions, views, joins, indexing, query optimization,
and performance tuning.




- Experience with SSIS components such as **Data Flow Tasks, Control Flow Tasks,
Lookup, Merge, Conditional Split, Derived Column, Execute SQL Task, Script Task, and File
System Task**.
- Valuable understanding of SSIS package configurations, parameters, variables, connection
managers, and deployment models.
- Experience in implementing **logging, exception handling, audit controls, and
failure/restart mechanisms**.
- Experience with **SQL Server Agent jobs and scheduling**.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience working in **production support and application maintenance
environments**.
## Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating SSIS with **Oracle databases and other heterogeneous data
sources**.
- Knowledge of **SFTP/file-based integrations** and automated file processing.
- Experience with **Git, Azure Dev Ops, or other source-control/CI/CD tools**.
- Exposure to cloud-based data integration technologies, particularly **Azure Data Factory
(ADF)**, would be an advantage.
- Experience working in an **Agile/Scrum delivery model**.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
