RTAC is looking for a Software Test Engineer to evaluate the functionality, reliability, and performance of its software applications. The ideal candidate will help identify potential issues, validate business workflows, and ensure software meets defined quality standards before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze application requirements and identify test scenarios and potential failure points.
- Prepare and execute test cases for different application modules.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and compatibility testing.
- Validate application workflows, user permissions, and data accuracy.
- Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Verify bug fixes and assess their impact on existing functionality.
- Conduct API and database validation wherever required.
- Collaborate with developers to investigate issues and improve product quality.
- Maintain test documentation and report testing progress and results.
Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of test case design, defect tracking, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with web applications, browser testing, and API concepts.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Exposure to Playwright, Appium, or other testing tools is an advantage.
- Solid analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Freshers with relevant projects or practical testing knowledge are welcome.
