Key Responsibilities
Litigation & Representation
• Manage end-to-end indirect tax litigation matters relating to GST, Customs, Service Tax, Excise, and VAT.
• Draft and review replies to notices, summons, audit observations, and departmental communications.
• Prepare appeals, written submissions, and supporting documentation for matters before Appellate Authorities, Tribunals, and other judicial forums.
• Coordinate with legal counsels and represent clients before tax authorities wherever required.
• Assist clients during investigations, departmental audits, and enforcement proceedings.

Indirect Tax Advisory
• Provide strategic advisory services on GST, Customs, and indirect tax regulations.
• Analyze complex business transactions and advise clients on tax implications, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct technical research and prepare tax opinions and advisory notes.
• Track legislative changes, judicial precedents, and regulatory developments affecting clients.

Due Diligence & Transaction Support
• Lead indirect tax due diligence assignments for mergers,



acquisitions, investments, and restructuring transactions.
• Identify tax exposures, compliance gaps, and potential risks.
• Prepare due diligence reports with practical recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
• Support transaction teams in evaluating tax positions and structuring recommendations.

Client Management
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and maintain strong skilled relationships.
• Understand client business models and proactively identify opportunities for tax optimization and risk management.
• Manage multiple client engagements while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Team Leadership
• Mentor, train, and review work performed by associates and senior associates.
• Allocate assignments, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and development of practice resources.
