Ozark & Co. is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper with knowledge of UK accounting practices to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a positive understanding of bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT, and financial record management.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Bookkeeper responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day accounting transactions, and supporting UK accounting operations. The candidate should be organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries.
• Record and process sales and purchase invoices.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Maintain general ledger records and assist with month-end procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK accounting and VAT requirements.




• Identify discrepancies and resolve routine accounting issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Knowledge of UK bookkeeping and accounting practices.
• Understanding of VAT, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools.
• Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience
• Previous experience in UK bookkeeping or UK accounting.
• Experience handling VAT returns and reconciliations.
• Experience working with UK-based clients or accounting firms.
