Role Description The Owner role is a full time, on-site position based in New Delhi, responsible for overseeing overall business operations, strategic direction, and sustainable growth for Tata BlueScope Steel in the region. The role involves defining and executing business strategies, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with corporate vision and market opportunities. Daily responsibilities include supervising functional leaders, reviewing performance metrics, approving major investments, and guiding operational improvements in manufacturing, sales, and customer service. The Owner is expected to oversee compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, champion innovation in products and processes, and support brand positioning across target sectors. The role also includes mentoring senior team members, fostering an inclusive workplace culture, and representing the organization in high-level industry and partner forums.
Qualifications
• Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making skills,



with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence outcomes at all levels.
• Expertise in business strategy, financial management, and operations, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of steel, construction, or building materials industry dynamics, market trends, and customer needs in India and the SAARC region.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to work with partners, clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability in change management, process improvement, and driving innovation in products, services, or business models.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced management qualification is an advantage.
• Proven track record in senior executive or ownership roles with responsibility for P&L;, organizational growth, and long-term strategic planning.
