Adharxila is inviting applications for an Accounting Intern to assist with bookkeeping, financial documentation, and routine accounts work. This opportunity is suitable for students and recent graduates seeking practical accounting experience in a publishing and cultural organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with entering daily financial transactions.
• Organise invoices, bills, receipts, vouchers, and other supporting documents.
• Update expense trackers, payment registers, and financial spreadsheets.
• Assist with bank reconciliation and checking transaction records.
• Help maintain cheque records and payment follow-up lists.
• Support the preparation of invoices and basic financial summaries.
• Assist with records relating to book sales, purchases, and event expenses.
• Identify missing documents or discrepancies and report them to the supervisor.
• Support the preparation of documents for review by the Accountant or external Chartered Accountant.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial records.

Eligibility and Skills





• Pursuing or recently completed a B.Com, BBA in Finance, or a related qualification.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with Tally is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and positive organisational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet agreed deadlines.
• No previous full-time accounting experience is required.
