Software Development Engineer - 1 (MERN Stack)
Full-time Mumbai Engineering We're looking for a skilled MERN stack developer to join our engineering team. You'll design and build scalable web applications, develop robust APIs, and create intuitive user interfaces. You'll work on production systems that power our lifestyle technology products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features. As an SDE-1, you'll be a key contributor to our engineering team, working on end-to-end feature development using the MERN stack. You'll take ownership of features from conception to deployment, write production-ready code, and help shape our technical architecture. Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js




• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices with proper error handling and validation
• Design effective database schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data integrity
• Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using React and modern frontend tools
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code following best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain code quality
• Debug and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and system design discussions
• Optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements
• Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure adequate test coverage
• Deploy applications to production
