Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer – Android with 2–4 years of hands-on Android development experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kotlin and Java, experience building high-quality Android applications, and a solid understanding of up-to-date Android development practices.
Experience with Android TV, OTT platforms, video streaming applications, or media players will be an added advantage. We welcome candidates with strong core Android development skills who are eager to work on diverse applications across mobile and TV platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Build responsive, user-friendly,
and high-performance application interfaces using modern Android development frameworks.
• Develop UI components using Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based layouts.
• Integrate REST APIs and third-party SDKs into Android applications.
• Implement asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Follow MVVM, Clean Architecture, and other established Android development best practices.
• Use dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
• Identify, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure stability and reliability.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery consumption.
• Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and production issue resolution.
• Contribute to application development for Android TV and OTT platforms as required by project needs.
