United Waters International AG (UWI) has developed and patented a pioneering, award-winning and cost-efficient biological drinking water purification technology in 20’ and 40’ foot containerised systems under the brand name BioGreen™. Based on its sustainability, cost efficiency and long-term quality, the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources has selected UWI’s water purification system as a preferred drinking water purification technology. UWI currently operates water purification plants in West Bengal, in addition to our operations in Europe, and aims to expand significantly across the state and other regions of India in the near future. UWI is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland.

We are seeking a senior skilled with deep technical and market expertise to lead our business development and growth strategy across India.



This role is ideal for candidates with a proven track record in the water infrastructure sector - spanning operations, engineering, or product development - who are ready to step into a strategic leadership role with hands-on involvement in technology improvement, supplier coordination, and market execution.

The Head of Business Development India will play a central role in adapting and improving UWI’s product offering for the Indian market, leveraging strong technical insight, negotiation skills, and stakeholder engagement. The position requires someone with the ability to work across disciplines - from refining containerised systems with engineering teams to navigating supplier networks and securing municipal contracts.

This is a high-impact leadership role with close collaboration with the company’s senior management team and global headquarters.

Location: Mumbai (India)

Travel: Frequent travel across India required as well as occasionally international.
