• 5-8 years of data engineering experience, including at least one prior production migration between

a NoSQL/document database (Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or similar) and a relational

database.

• Strong SQL skills across both T-SQL (SQL Server/Azure SQL) and PostgreSQL, including hands-on

schema conversion and query rewriting between the two dialects.

• Hands-on experience with Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL, including JSONB data modeling and query

patterns for document-shaped data.

• Experience with GCP Database Migration Service (DMS) or equivalent CDC/replication tooling for

production cutover-style migrations.

• Experience with Google Cloud Storage Transfer Service (STS) or comparable tooling for large-scale

object storage migration.

• Solid data reconciliation and validation methodology — designing checksum, count, and business-

rule-based parity checks for migrated data.

• Familiarity with Azure Cosmos DB's SQL API and data model, sufficient to accurately map its

container/document structure to a relational/JSONB target.

• Nice to have Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
