ABOUT THE ROLE & ORGANIZATION ECOSYSTEM:

Antal International has been mandated to hire a strategic Senior Java Backend Developer for a high-volume payment

processor ecosystem (aligning with platform scales similar to BillDesk, NPCI rails, and tier-1 acquiring bank switches). In

this high-impact position, you will lead the design, execution, and modernization of core backend payment platforms

processing millions of critical financial transactions daily.

You will insist on the highest engineering standards for extreme low-latency processing, distributed system fault tolerance,

strict transactional integrity, and regulatory compliance within the Indian payments landscape.

KEY CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Enterprise Architecture & Engineering: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of highly available (99.999%

uptime), fault-tolerant, microservices-based backend platforms and payment routing gateways.

- High-Throughput Performance Tuning: Optimize JVM runtime, memory management, garbage collection (ZGC/

Shenandoah), database queries, and async I/O pipelines to support thousands of TPS with sub-200ms processing

budgets.

- Resilience & Distributed Transaction Design: Implement robust distributed system patterns, including Saga





Orchestration/Choreography, Circuit Breakers (Resilience4j), Rate Limiters, Idempotency keys, and Dead Letter Queue

(DLQ) recovery mechanisms.

- Ledger & Financial Integrity: Architect immutable, double-entry ledger platforms and automated real-time

reconciliation systems ensuring 100% auditability and zero data loss.

- Security & Regulatory Governance: Enforce stringent security standards including PCI-DSS tokenization, OWASP

Top 10 mitigations, TLS 1.3 encryption, HSM integrations, and adherence to RBI Payment Aggregator guidelines.

- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Drive code reviews, establish technical roadmaps, define coding standards, and

mentor mid-level backend developers in domain-driven design (DDD) and SOLID principles.

FINTECH & BANKING DOMAIN EXPERTISE (HIGHLY PREFERRED)

- Deep domain familiarity with Payment Gateway Switches, Card Networks (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), UPI Rails,
- Energetic Smart Routing Engine, Merchant Onboarding / Escrow Management, ISO 20022 / ISO 8583
- Messaging, Tokenization Vaults, and Automated Bank Settlement/Reconciliation Engine.
