Job Objective:

To lead the R&D; team in the development, testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of RF-based walkie-talkies, analog and digital radios, antennas, batteries, and related accessories.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of analog and digital walkie-talkies and two-way radio systems.
- Oversee RF performance, antenna design, transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, signal gain, communication range, audio quality, and battery performance.
- Troubleshoot field issues and conduct root cause analysis (RCA), implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage radio firmware development, debugging, testing, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Operate and supervise RF testing equipment, including digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, RF power meters, and VNAs.
- Prepare, review, and verify technical documentation, product specifications, compliance statements, and technical submissions for tenders.
- Ensure timely calibration, verification, and maintenance of RF testing instruments and other laboratory equipment.




- Coordinate with authorized calibration agencies and certification bodies for equipment calibration certificates and applicable product certifications.
- Maintain calibration schedules, certification records, validity trackers, and supporting documentation.
- Lead and manage the R&D; team, allocate responsibilities, and monitor team performance.
- Plan and manage R&D; projects, resources, budgets, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and other departments to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with applicable RF, EMC/EMI, and wireless communication regulations.
- Report project progress, technical issues, field problem resolutions, and R&D; activities to the Director.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in RF engineering and radio communication product development.
- Strong knowledge of walkie-talkies, analog and digital radios, RF transceivers, antennas, batteries, and related electronics.
- Hands-on experience in RF troubleshooting, field testing, communication range optimization, and signal gain analysis.
- Knowledge of radio firmware, RF testing instruments, calibration procedures, and certification requirements.
- Experience in RCA, technical documentation and compliance verification.
- Proven skills in team management, project management, technical leadership, and problem-solving.
