Role & responsibilities

- Conduct laboratory and field tests on construction materials such as soil, cement, concrete, aggregates and bitumen, as applicable to the project.
- Perform material sampling, sample preparation and testing according to approved procedures.
- Carry out soil compaction tests, sieve analysis, concrete testing and other relevant material tests.
- Verify test results against project specifications and applicable IS codes.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, testing instruments and calibration records.
- Prepare and maintain daily testing registers, inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Identify non-conforming materials and report deviations to the QC Engineer or Quality Manager.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for material inspections and testing schedules.




- Ensure proper laboratory housekeeping and compliance with safety procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant technical qualification preferred.
- 24 years of experience in a construction-material testing laboratory or infrastructure project.
- Practical knowledge of soil, concrete, cement, aggregate or bitumen testing.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and applicable IS standards.
- Ability to maintain accurate testing records and prepare reports.
- Experience in road construction, highways, infrastructure or RMC plants will be an advantage.
