Role & responsibilities

1. Lead the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of HEMM, underground mining equipment, crushing and screening plants, winding systems, ventilation systems, compressors, and other mechanical installations.
2. Plan and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
3. Develop and implement maintenance standards, SOPs, and engineering improvement initiatives.
4. Prepare and manage Capex/Opex budgets, equipment procurement, spare parts inventory, and maintenance contracts.
5. Ensure statutory compliance, risk assessment, and adherence to HSE requirements across all maintenance activities.
6. Drive equipment reliability, cost optimization, Kaizens, QIPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Lead, train, and develop mechanical maintenance teams to improve technical competency and performance.
8. Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, statutory authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective operations.
9. Monitor maintenance performance, equipment downtime, and implementation of approved maintenance projects.
