Applications are invited for the position of Project Research Scientist - I (Non-Medical) under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded Intermediate Grant (NAG) project in the School of Healthcare Science and Engineering (SHINE), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu.

Title of the Project

CardioScreen: A High-Throughput 3D Cardiac Spheroid Platform for Myocardial Infarction Modelling and Cardioprotective Drug Screening

Qualification (Essential)

- First Class Post-Graduate Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Materials Science / Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines from a recognized university.

Qualification (Desirable)

- Ph.D. (awarded or thesis submitted) in a relevant discipline; experience in 3D cardiac spheroid or organoid culture, 3D bioprinting, cardiac tissue engineering, myocardial infarction / ischemia-reperfusion models, cardioprotective drug screening, fluorescence imaging, molecular assays, and quantitative data analysis.

Stipend

- + HRA (10%)



with annual increment @ 5% on initial emoluments after completion of every two years, as per ICMR norms, for candidate with ICMR/DBT/CSIR JRF/Valid GATE score. For non-JRF/GATE qualified candidates, the stipend will be paid as per the Institute's norms.
