1. Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud):

Role summary
Build the target AWS environment and PostgreSQL platform for the Sybase migration, inside Carelons NextGen landing zone. You own the platform that the application and data teams run on.

Responsibilities

- Provision the Dev, SIT, UAT, Stage and Prod environments: compute, storage, networking and private connectivity.
- Set up IAM roles, access and encryption (KMS, TLS) to Elevance security standards.
- Build the PostgreSQL / Lakebase environments, including hardening and sizing.
- Design and test HA, DR, backups and second-region replication.
- Set up network paths between Sybase (on-prem), AWS and Databricks.
- Fix infrastructure vulnerabilities so no Critical or High findings remain at go-live.
- Support cutover and rollback at the infrastructure level.

Required skills




- 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, with robust AWS (VPC, IAM, EC2, RDS, KMS, networking).
- Terraform or similar infrastructure as code.
- Linux administration and scripting.
- Solid grounding in security, encryption and disaster recovery.

Nice to have
- PostgreSQL or Aurora platform experience.
- Databricks exposure.
- Healthcare (HIPAA) environments.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification.
