To accelerate silicon readiness, system and silicon companies adopt a shift-left approach where embedded software is developed early to enable validation, performance characterization, and subsystem enablement.

Vayavya Labs is working with a leading consumer electronics company to develop embedded software, Audio DSP software, and validation frameworks for a next-generation SoC. This role is a hands-on Audio DSP development position, focused on building reusable software components that enable pre- and post-silicon audio validation, performance characterization, and subsystem enablement.

Responsibilities

- As an Audio DSP Engineer, you will design and develop embedded software and DSP components for audio subsystems in SoCs.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams, understand audio architecture, and translate specifications into robust DSP software, audio processing components, and supporting software infrastructure.
- The role emphasizes Audio DSP software design, development, optimization, and debugging.





Technical Skills

- Hands on experience in C programming
- Write low level firmware, fine tuning for performance.
- Understanding DSP code, DSP extensions, data parallelism, writing lightweight code, DSP code optimization.
- Audio experience (understanding a glitch, reason for the glitch, latency, timestamp issues, packet loss, mixing, filtering, enhancing audio, noise reduction etc.) HAL development in Audio.
- ALSA Audio development experience.

Good to Have

- Working knowledge of Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, and audio tools including Audio Precision.
- Know Python and be able to write test code using Python

- Self-managed and ability to learn and adapt
- Eager to take on recent challenging work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with interacting with customers
