Job Summary

Lead Design 3D Modeling: Spearhead complex 3D plant modeling using AVEVA E3D for large-scale metals and mining projects (e.g., concentrator plants, crushing/grinding areas, hydrometallurgical plants, tailings disposal systems, and slurry pumping stations).

Responsibilities

- Develop optimal plot plans, equipment layouts, and pipe routing strategies adhering strictly to safety, operability, and constructability principles.
- Catalog Specification Management: Set up, customize, and manage E3D project catalogs, specifications (Specs), and pipe support databases tailored to project requirements and international standards.
- Drawing Deliverable Production: Oversee and review the generation of accurate Piping General Arrangement GA drawings, sections, elevations, and construction-ready piping isometrics out of E3D / ISODRAFT.
- Ensure high quality and accuracy of Piping Material Take-Offs MTOs and bulk material estimations.
- Inter-Disciplinary Multi-Office Coordination: Translate complex Process Instrumentation Diagrams PIDs into physical 3D routing configurations.
- Collaborate seamlessly with civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering teams.




- Utilize AVEVA Review / Navisworks for comprehensive clash detection sessions, design reviews, and model health checks.
- Coordinate closely with pipe stress engineers to integrate critical spring, guide, and anchor support designs.
- Team Leadership Quality Assurance: Mentor, guide, and review the work of junior and mid-level piping designers.
- Ensure all engineering designs comply with relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.1, B31.3, ISO) as well as client-specific specifications.
- Lead 30%, 60%, and 90% model review audits with clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

- Experience required: 7 to 15 years
- Industry: Metals Mining / Minerals Processing / Heavy Industrial EPC
- Software proficiency: AVEVA E3D (Everything3D) / AVEVA PDMS (Mandatory)
- Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
- Work Experience: 5-10 years
