Job Description Construction Manager

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage multiple construction projects and sites simultaneously, from planning to completion.
- Coordinate and supervise Site Engineers, Site Supervisors, contractors and other project staff across all assigned sites.
- Ensure projects are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.
- Monitor the progress of all projects and ensure timely completion within the approved budgets.
- Plan and allocate manpower, materials, machinery and other resources across multiple sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, workmanship, safety and quality.
- Review daily and weekly progress reports submitted by Site Engineers and take corrective action wherever required.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review project estimates, bills of quantities, material requirements and contractor bills to ensure cost control.
- Monitor project expenditure,



identify cost variations and implement measures to minimise wastage and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, engineering standards, safety regulations and contractual requirements.
- Identify project risks, technical challenges, resource constraints and potential delays, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Review and approve site-level requirements, work schedules and resource allocation within delegated authority.
- Conduct periodic review meetings with Site Engineers and project staff to assess progress, resolve issues and establish priorities.
- Maintain project documentation, progress reports, cost records and other management information for all assigned projects.
- Ensure effective coordination between project sites and the head office for timely decision-making and reporting.
- Report overall project status, budget performance, key issues and completion timelines to senior management.
- Perform other duties related to construction project management as assigned by the company.
