Civil Engineer -Solar PMC

Company Overview

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the monitoring and governance of civil construction activities for utility-scale Solar PV projects. The role focuses on ensuring civil works are executed in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, and quality standards while enabling timely readiness for MMS installation, electrical works, commissioning, and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor site grading, access roads, drainage systems, fencing, piling and foundation works, cable trenches, equipment foundations, control buildings, and associated solar infrastructure.
- Verify dimensions, levels, embedments, concrete quality, workmanship, reinstatement activities, and civil handover readiness against approved drawings and ITP requirements.
- Coordinate release of work fronts for MMS/tracker installation, equipment placement, cabling, and electrical construction activities.
- Identify and report non-conformities, incomplete works, and site constraints affecting construction progress and readiness.
- Support quantity verification activities by providing factual evidence of installed works and site progress.
- Monitor closure of civil punch items, as-built documentation requirements, and HOTO readiness activities.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, QA/QC teams, surveyors, electrical engineers, and construction management teams to ensure smooth project execution.





Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 510 years of experience in civil construction for utility-scale solar, renewable energy, power infrastructure, or heavy infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience in piling works, structural foundations, drainage systems, roads, and site development for large-scale solar projects.
- Experience on solar projects exceeding 150 MW capacity is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with topographical surveys, foundation layouts, and civil work execution in large infrastructure environments.
