Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine, type, acceptance, and special tests on raw materials, in-process

products, and finished cables and conductors.

• Perform electrical, mechanical, dimensional, and physical testing in accordance

with applicable standards and customer specifications.

• Verify compliance with IS, IEC, BS, ASTM, and other relevant international

standards.

• Prepare, review, and issue accurate test reports, inspection records, and quality

documentation.

• Ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper functioning of laboratory equipment

and testing instruments.

• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and support in-

process inspections.

• Investigate quality issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, R&D;, and Customer Quality teams to

resolve quality-related concerns.

• Maintain laboratory records, calibration logs, quality reports, and audit

documentation.

• Support internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and laboratory

quality procedures.

• Promote continuous improvement initiatives using Statistical Process Control

(SPC), quality analysis, and process monitoring.

• Maintain laboratory safety practices and ensure adherence to company quality

standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering,

Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering.





• Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Control or Testing Laboratory within

the cable, conductor, or electrical manufacturing industry.

• Strong knowledge of:

- Cable and Conductor Manufacturing Processes
- Electrical and Mechanical Testing Techniques
- Copper & Aluminium Conductor Properties
- Polymer Materials used in Cable Insulation & Sheathing
- Electrical Testing Principles
- Mechanical Testing Methods
- Measurement Uncertainty & Calibration Principles

• Sound understanding of IS, IEC, BS, ASTM, and customer specifications.

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

• Exposure to ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Management Systems will be an added

advantage.

• Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA),

and CAPA methodology.

• Proficiency in ERP/LIMS software and Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting

tools.

• Solid analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
