Role overview :As an intern, you’ll work with our R&D; engineers on the embedded hardware and firmware behind our battery packs and BESS products. This is hands-on work. You’ll write code that runs on real hardware, debug on the bench and see your work go into products.
- Key responsibilitiesDevelop and debug firmware in Embedded C/C++ on microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32 and AVR.
- Interface BMS boards with chargers, inverters, displays and IoT modules over CAN, RS485/Modbus, UART, I2C and SPI.
- Read, decode and log BMS data, including cell voltages, temperatures, SoC/SoH, alarms and protection events.
- Build test jigs and scripts (Python or similar) for pack testing, data logging and end-of-line checks.
- Help with IoT and telematics integration (GSM/4G, Wi-Fi, BLE, MQTT) for remote battery monitoring.
- Assist with schematic review, prototyping, soldering and bench testing using a multimeter, oscilloscope, DC load and power supply.
- Document firmware, test procedures and results clearly.
- Required skillsB.Tech/B.E. or Diploma (final year or recent graduate) in ECE, EE, EEE, Instrumentation or a related field.
- Strong basics in Embedded C and microcontroller architecture.
- Hands-on experience with at least one MCU platform (STM32, ESP32, Arduino, PIC, etc.).
- Understanding of serial protocols: UART, I2C, SPI.
- Ability to read datasheets and schematics.
- Basic electronics: power supplies, ADCs, sensors, MOSFETs.
- Valuable to haveExperience with CAN bus or Modbus RTU.
- Exposure to lithium battery chemistry (LFP/NMC), BMS concepts, cell balancing or SoC estimation.
- Python for data analysis or test automation.
- RTOS (FreeRTOS) basics.
- PCB design tools (KiCad, Altium, EasyEDA).
- Git and version control.
- Personal or college projects in EV, solar, battery or IoT.
