Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium automation using Java, modern CI/CD practices, and handson experience with test management and defect tracking tools. The role requires close collaboration with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, with a strong preference for candidates having banking collections domain knowledge.

Preferred candidate profile

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium with Java for webbased applications.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, integrating automated test execution as part of continuous delivery.
- Manage source code and automation assets using GitHub repositories, following branching and code review best practices.
- Leverage AIassisted development tools (GitHub Copilot) to improve automation productivity, code quality, and maintenance.
- Execute and maintain regression, smoke, and endtoend automation suites aligned with sprint and release cycles.
- Integrate automation execution results with test management tools such as Jira Xray, ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
- Actively support defect triage, rootcause analysis, and collaboration with development teams.
- Maintain clear and uptodate documentation in Confluence, including framework design, execution guidelines, and reporting standards.
- Provide automation test support during releases, production verification,



and incident investigations.
- Mentor junior automation engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA practice.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Selenium WebDriver with Java (strong handson experience).
- Test automation frameworks (TestNG / JUnit / CucumberBDD).
- CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Source control management using GitHub.
- AIassisted coding tools practical usage of GitHub Copilot.
- Test management & defect tracking tools:
- Jira
- Xray
- Confluence

- Experience with Maven/Gradle, logging, reporting, and parallel execution.

Domain & Functional Experience

- Solid banking domain exposure, specifically:
- Collections systems
- Delinquency, hardship, exceptions, or debt recovery workflows

- Understanding of endtoend customer journeys and regulatory sensitivity in banking applications.

Desirable Skills (Good to Have)

- API automation experience (REST, Postman, Karate, or similar).
- Exposure to GitHub Actions, Docker, or cloudbased test execution.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Performance or security testing exposure.

Experience & Qualifications

- 58+ years of overall QA experience with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proven experience working as a Senior Automation Engineer in enterprisescale environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across onshore/offshore teams.
