We are looking for a Buy-Side Equity Research Analyst with 4+ years of experience in equity research and financial analysis. The candidate will be responsible for tracking companies and sectors, building financial models, conducting channel checks, generating investment ideas, and supporting the fund management team with actionable insights.
The role requires strong analytical skills, deep understanding of financial statements, and the ability to independently evaluate investment opportunities across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed fundamental research on listed companies and sectors
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
- Prepare investment notes, earnings updates, and thematic research reports
- Track quarterly results, management commentary, industry developments, and key triggers
- Perform company interactions, channel checks, and competitor analysis
- Generate actionable investment ideas for portfolio inclusion
- Monitor existing portfolio companies and recommend buy/sell/hold actions
- Support fund managers in portfolio tracking and investment decision-making
- Analyze annual reports, investor presentations, concall transcripts, and industry data
- Stay updated on macroeconomic trends and market developments
Candidate Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Equity Research (Buy-Side preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and capital markets
- Experience in financial modeling and investment analysis
- Ability to independently cover companies/sectors
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases
- CFA / CA / MBA (Finance) preferred

Compensation
