TrueNumbers Innovations Private Limited builds TREW

(sotrew.com), a financial operating system for Indian founders. We combine

hands-on accounting with a live dashboard: every client gets a dedicated

accountant, CA oversight, daily-closed books, and CFO-level insight.

Our clients are ecommerce brands, D2C companies and service

businesses. We give them SKU-wise and channel-wise profitability, advance GST

and TDS alerts, and the numbers they need to make decisions - better than an

in-house accountant plus the CA above them.

Role overviewYou will own the books of a portfolio of client

companies end to end - from daily entries in Zoho Books to monthly MIS and

statutory filings - working closely with founders and our CA team.

Key responsibilities

Bookkeeping and daily

close

• Record

sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments daily in Zoho Books for

multiple client organizations.

• Keep books

closed daily: bank, payment-gateway and wallet reconciliations with no backlog.

• Process marketplace

settlements from Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Shopify and quick-commerce

platforms - sales, returns, commissions, fees, TCS and ad spends.

• Maintain the

client's Chart of Accounts, items, SKUs and customer/vendor masters.

Compliance

• Prepare and

file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, reconcile with GSTR-2B, and track input tax credit.

• Compute and

deduct TDS, file TDS returns, and issue Form 16/16A.

• Flag

upcoming GST, TDS and advance-tax liabilities to clients ahead of due dates.

• Support the

CA team on audits,



ROC filings and income-tax returns.

MIS and reporting

• Prepare

monthly P&L;, balance sheet, cash-flow and MIS for each client.

• Build

SKU-wise, channel-wise and client-wise profitability, including returns and

marketing ROI.

• Track

receivables and payables, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain ageing

reports.

• Support

budgeting, forecasting and ratio analysis for our CFO services.

Client communication

• Act as the

day-to-day finance contact for assigned founders.

• Explain

numbers simply, chase missing documents, and answer queries quickly.

Process and tools

• Use AI

tools, Excel/Sheets and automation to cut manual work and errors.

• Document

processes and SOPs so client work is repeatable and scalable.

• Give

feedback to our product team as we build the TREW dashboard on top of Zoho.

Must-have skills• Zoho Books expertise: strong hands-on

experience with invoices, bills, bank feeds, reconciliation, multi-organisation

handling, GST and TDS settings, and reports. Exposure to Zoho Inventory or Zoho

Analytics is a plus.

• Advanced accounting principles: accrual

accounting, revenue recognition, provisions, prepaid and deferred items,

depreciation,



inventory valuation, and month-end closing under Indian

Accounting Standards / Ind AS.

• Indian taxation: working knowledge of

GST (returns, ITC, reconciliation, e-invoicing, e-way bills) and TDS.

• Communication: clear spoken and written

English and Hindi; able to explain financials to non-finance founders and write

crisp emails.

• AI and tech tools: comfortable using

ChatGPT, Claude or similar AI tools for analysis and drafting; positive with

Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, SUMIFS); quick to learn new

software.

• Problem solving: able to trace a

mismatch to its root cause - an unreconciled settlement, a wrong ledger, a

missing credit note - and fix the process so it doesn't recur.

• Ownership and accuracy: handles

multiple clients and deadlines without supervision; takes pride in clean,

error-free books.

Good to

have• Experience with ecommerce

or D2C accounting - marketplace settlements, returns, ad spend and SKU-level

margins.

• Prior work

at a CA firm or accounting outsourcing firm handling multiple clients.

• Familiarity

with Tally, QuickBooks or other accounting software alongside Zoho.

• Exposure to

automation tools such as Zoho Flow, Zapier or Power Query.

• Interest in

fintech and in shaping a product used by founders.
