Job DescriptionWe are looking for skilled and experienced personnel to perform mechanical maintenance, operation, inspection, and servicing of firefighting systems, fire engines, pumps, hydrant systems, valves, and associated mechanical installations at the project site.

The selected candidates will be responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown rectification, equipment servicing, and ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of firefighting and mechanical systems as per site requirements and instructions from the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).

1. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform operation, inspection, servicing, and maintenance of firefighting systems and mechanical equipment.
2. Operate and maintain fire engines, fire water pumps, jockey pumps, product pumps, hydrant systems, monitors, and deluge valve systems.
3. Clean strainers and service hydrants, monitors, valves, and associated mechanical components.
4. Carry out greasing and lubrication of moving parts and replace gland packing, gaskets, washers, studs, bolts, and other damaged components as required.
5. Attend to equipment leakages, tightening, servicing, and mechanical breakdown rectification.
6. Inspect, test, and maintain hydrant hoses, firefighting hoses, and associated firefighting equipment as per the prescribed maintenance schedule.
7. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of hydrant lines,



deluge valve systems, piping systems, and related mechanical equipment.
8. Maintain and service gate valves, non-return valves (NRVs), motor-operated valves (MOVs), isolation pits, vapour traps, and associated equipment.
9. Ensure the proper upkeep of firefighting accessories, safety equipment, and mechanical installations.
10. Follow site safety procedures, maintenance schedules, and instructions issued by the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).
11. Deploy and perform duties according to site operational requirements.

- Required SkillsKnowledge of mechanical maintenance and equipment servicing.
- Basic understanding of pumps, valves, piping systems, and firefighting equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and breakdown rectification.
- Knowledge of lubrication, replacement of mechanical components, and leakage control.
- Understanding of industrial safety procedures and maintenance practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a maintenance team.
- Qualification and ExperienceQualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Experience: Experience in mechanical maintenance, pump operation, industrial maintenance, or firefighting system maintenance preferred.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on experience in industrial installations will be given preference.
- Work RequirementsWillingness to work at the designated project site.
- Ability to perform maintenance activities as per site requirements.
- Compliance with applicable safety standards and operational procedures.
