Position: Community Manager

Location: Whitefield / ITPL Corridor, Bangalore

Reports To: Operations / Founder

Company Website: https://yelloliving.in

About the Role

We are looking for a Community Manager to own the resident experience across our co-living properties.

This is a people-first role, not a facilities or maintenance role. You will be the face of Yello to every resident — from the day they move in to the day they move out — and the person responsible for keeping the community welcoming, engaged, and connected.

Key Responsibilities

1. Move-In & Move-Out

- Own the end-to-end move-in checklist for every new resident, ensuring nothing is missed and any gaps are flagged immediately.
- Be the primary point of contact for new residents during their first few days, helping them settle in comfortably.
- Own the move-out checklist and ensure it is completed for every exiting resident.
- Conduct move-out conversations to understand the genuine reason for leaving, document feedback accurately, and flag recurring patterns or concerns to management.

2. Resident Relations

- Be the go-to person for day-to-day resident interactions and queries.
- Proactively identify community concerns, complaints, friction between residents, and recurring issues before they escalate.
- Act as a bridge between residents and the broader Yello team on all community-related matters.

3. Communication

- Manage the community WhatsApp group(s).
- Share regular updates, announcements, reminders, and relevant information.
- Ensure communication is consistent, timely, friendly, and aligned with the Yello brand.

4. Events & Community Engagement

- Plan and maintain a regular calendar of community events — social, wellness, festive, skill-based, etc.

- Promote events within the community and encourage solid resident participation.
- Execute and host events on the ground.
- Collect resident feedback after events and use it to improve future editions.

5. Social Media & Content Collaboration

- Coordinate with the social media/content team to capture stories, reels, and moments from events and community activities.
- Identify and encourage residents to participate in social media content and reels.
- Build a steady pipeline of authentic, resident-driven content moments.

Additional Responsibilities

Resident Onboarding

- Go beyond the basic checklist by introducing new residents to the community.
- Help them understand the WhatsApp groups, upcoming events, house rules, and community etiquette.

Feedback & Retention

- Conduct periodic light-touch check-ins or pulse surveys with residents.
- Identify dissatisfaction or concerns early, before they become reasons for move-out.

Community Guidelines

- Help monitor and gently reinforce shared-space and community norms around noise, cleanliness, guests, and general etiquette.
- Flag repeated or serious issues to management rather than acting as an enforcement authority.

Resident Recognition

- Create small moments of goodwill such as birthday wishes, work-anniversary acknowledgements, and welcome gestures.
- Focus on simple, low-cost initiatives that make residents feel valued and connected.

Buddy / Connector Role

- Help new residents integrate into the community by informally connecting them with existing residents.
- Encourage a culture where residents feel comfortable meeting and interacting with one another.

Reporting

Share a simple weekly summary with management covering:

- Move-ins and move-outs handled
- Resident concerns and feedback
- Events conducted
- Community engagement
- Content generated
- Key issues or patterns requiring attention

Vendor & Local Partnerships (Optional)

- Explore small resident perks and collaborations with nearby cafés, gyms, service providers, and other local businesses.
- Support relevant event tie-ups where bandwidth allows.

Who This Role Is ForWe are looking for someone who:

- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is comfortable talking to new people.
- Can build rapport quickly and genuinely enjoys interacting with people.
- Is organized and capable of managing checklists, follow-ups, and multiple priorities.
- Is comfortable being visible and occasionally appearing on camera for events, stories, or reels.
- Enjoys planning events and bringing people together.
- Is based in or can commute daily to the Whitefield / ITPL corridor.
- Has prior experience in hospitality, community management, events, or customer-facing roles — preferred but not mandatory.
- Most importantly, has the right attitude, energy, and ownership mindset.
- What This Role Is NotNot a maintenance, housekeeping, or facilities-operations role.
- Not a sales or lead-conversion role.
- Not a back-office or reporting-only role.

This is a ground-level, people-facing community role focused on resident experience, engagement, and retention.
